Go with the flow...

We're shooting our engagement photos next weekend. So I have been desperately seeking outfits to wear. I've probably been driving my photographer nuts with all my scatter brain ideas for the shoot. And out of all the ideas I've come across I still don't know exactly what we're gonna do or what we're gonna wear. I guess I'll just have to leave it up to the professional.

I had this vision of wearing a light, airy, flowy dress. And I have yet to find the perfect one that isn't more than I want to pay. I stumbled across these two Etsy shops and I wish I had found them sooner, seeing how one is located in Taiwan and says shipping can take anywhere between 7-30 days :P

Spunshop makes these wonderful Mexican style embroidered dresses, which I thought was odd since they are in Taiwan...I digress...I love the hand embroidery on the light fabric. They'd be pretty with some cute boots or woven sandals. It just looks so comfortable and effortless. Which is always a good thing here when with how humid it can get.

Then on the totally opposite spectrum. I found these lovely flowy tulle dresses that are dreamy on bustle. Either way they won't be here in time for the shoot. So I am still left empty handed. Le sigh...

Happy, perfect, tea dresses!

Now my wedding isn't until next year, but I have so many little details in my head planned its ridiculously and I really just need to get them out of my head so what better place to put them but here ;) For instance one detail I am sure of, is that for the wedding rehearsal I wanna spring for a lovely Tea Dress at Sohomode on Etsy. They are happy and girly and perfect! I would never spend that much on a dress normally, but for my wedding rehearsal I think a lavish dress is in order so I'll be okay throwing the rules out the window for once. So please Sohomode, please don't stop making your adorable dresses come this time next year, thanks!

OMG OMG! When I saw this I nearly peed my pants! (TMI) I absolutely adored Disney's Up and if you did too then you'll totally understand the significance of this adorable bottlecap pin at Justbe Jewelry's Etsy shop. It is basically a pin that the main character's wife gave him when they were little. I know I said it several times before...but I LOVE ETSY.

I do miss the elaborate musical numbers that were riddled all throughout the orginial Disney classics, but I am loving the thought provoking, emotional story plots with the new Disney Pixar movies. I loved Meet the Robinsons, Wall-E, and now Up all because they left me with that feel good feeling in the end. Sigh...I must have this pin.

I don't know what it is about tote bags. But I adore them. Currently coveting these beauties by Forest Bound. I love that she uses recycled material. I am also liking the rustic feel her totes have while still being feminine. Love!

I am no stranger to Boojiboo's wonderful Etsy store. I have bought almost every mother in my life an apron from her. She always uses great fabrics and color combos. The definite selling point for me were all the different styles of aprons she offers. My favorite to buy as gifts is the vintage styled Bella. She even offers plus-sized aprons as well. It has come quite apparent to me that I should get an apron for myself. I use too many paper towels while cooking (and yes I feel horrible for it). It would be so much easier for me to just wipe my hands an a trusty apron...although with aprons as cute as these I'd be afraid to ruin them :P I digress...Grosgrain is hosting a giveaway for a Boojiboo apron so I'm trying my luck at winning one of my very own ;)

An apple a day...

Lala...hello everybody. I've been having a couple of rough mornings, so I've been "self-medicating" with Caramel Macchiatos for breakfast the past few mornings haha :P Not the healthiest but still very much needed. As some may know, my fave breakfast is actually slices of apples and sharp cheddar cheese.

I love love apples. I wasn't such a big fan of them until I got preggers with Carmen. I was lucky enough to crave something healthy and delicious. Now I am addicted to apples. So I thought it was pretty clever when I came across this Apple A Day Poster on Etsy. Basically, you put the little stickers from your apples on the grid poster and when its all filled up-viola! Instant pop-art. I'd have one of these babies filled up in no time ;)
